Following in the footsteps of the US, Australian and Irish governments, the vision of the UK government is that by 2016, the majority of the transactional elements of corporate services in the public sector will be delivered through a handful of professional shared service organisations. Some will remain within the private sector but many will be outsourced. The Shared Services Exchange addresses the consolidation of a set of services common to multiple business units applicable in both front and back office. The conference brings together hundreds of senior public sector executives who are actively sourcing shared service solutions with leading service providers and potential partners.
